In the last few years, an increasing number of teachers in the school system chose to leave their positions and according to their professions and specialties open an independent studio or partnership on the market. These teachers have independent ideas, distinct personalities and rich professional knowledge and abilities, which is exactly what one needs to adapt to market demands. One independent teacher’s publication on "Wenhui education" brought to the attention in all social circles. This research article on "Independent teachers’living conditions" hopes that through objectivity, rather than subjective assumptions, reality and not imaginative empirical approach, from the material living conditions, from the widespread state of mind it analyzes three areas of professional development’s state and shows that every "independent teacher’s" existence in specific circumstances, intends to reflect the true state of "independent teachers’" capacity, and finally for the sake of "independent teachers" better survival, in order to improve the market’s independent course and for more effective educational changes in schools.The research is based on literature research, field research, comparative research and combining method of extensive domestic and foreign literature collection, field questionnaires and interviews as well as deep as a half a year observation of the author’s field and all the materials and research data results are thoroughly analyzed. Research’s survey participants were different individuals or different groups in Shanghai district and the survey conducted 178 samples. Interview participants were different age and fields’ independent teachers’ and the interview conducted semi-structured interviews. In addition, the author found 14 different independent teachers from an independent course platform Udemy in order to have a more accurate domestic-foreign comparative approach, the author conducted interviews by e-mail and learned from the experience. Research subject of this paper is divided into three parts:The first part of this research is about the material living conditions, mainly on the independent teachers’ income and welfare, both interviews and analysis of the independent teachers’ economic high absolute current income, with no stability; large differences in income between independent teachers and teachers of different disciplines at different stages and economic differences in income levels. In terms of the existing problems, the author pointed out current lack of an independent teachers’ social security benefits, hoping that the relevant government departments can introduce policies to protect the interests of this group.The second part of this research is about the mental state of the world, both from a questionnaire survey of work stress and social status, by thoroughly analyzing the data’s true reflection of the Independent Teachers’ mental state. This part presents pressure at work, a slow start with less students, more complicated affairs, not enough time and energy; a lower social status, society’s and parents expectations for higher aspect will give the Independent Teachers’ invisible pressure; professional growth, the need to time and effort self precipitation, need to learn and academic research groups, but the recognition of self-worth and sense of accomplishment regard, the independent teachers live with more freedom, independently, to become self-worth.The third part of this research is about the professional development state, in theory analyzes "professional" and the concept of "professional development", the independent teachers through in-depth interviews and almost half a year field observations, it summarizes the existing "Independent Teachers’ Professional Development’s model, such as brainstorming mode and collective modes of teaching and research, but also points out that domestic independent teachers can use the Internet technology to carry out more community learning and research.
