In the junior middle school language teaching, reading occupies a very important component of modern prose, so in junior middle school stage, learning of the modern prose becomes an important problem, the teaching of language must be implemented. But in the actual teaching activities, modern prose teaching exists many problems: such as heavy result, students’ all-round development ignore; the heavy knowledge, despise ability training; the weight problem solving, ignore the innovation teaching methods. Teachers and students are both depressing. Classroom atmosphere like a backwater. Prose teaching has become the teachers and students joint pain.Situational teaching as a kind of teaching method, in the practice, should consider the needs of the article and student’s life experience, creating a live classroom atmosphere, in order to arouse the students’ emotional experiences,stimulate students’ interest learning, strengthen the students’ learning motivation,attract students fully integrated into the teaching activities, complete the teaching goal.Therefore, introducing the situation of modern prose teaching that is a feasibility method to change the difficulties in modern prose teachingIn this academic paper,speaking from the development of situation teaching,discuss the present situation of domestic, foreign research situation teaching and the theoretical basis, define the situation and situational teaching concept,Expound the characteristics of modern prose itself as well as the teaching objectives, requirements,analysis of the modern prose teaching present situation on the basis of the above,According the compatibility of situation teaching and prose teaching, intend to analyze situation teaching principles and strategies of modern prose, At last,combine with my own teaching practice, self-examination the situation of modern prose teaching problems that frequently occur.
