In this paper, the research background, method, significance and the current research situation of practical teaching in Senior School are briefly introduced. From the theoretical foundation and through questionnaire, the students and the teachers’ understanding of the implementation of practical teaching and current situation of the implementation of the practical teaching of chemistry were investigated. Through in-depth analysis of the data, following conclusions are drawn: The teachers and students hold a positive attitude towards practical teaching;Most of the students have the experience applying chemical knowledge to solving problems in daily life; The practical resources in daily life are not developed and applied in a thorough way; The teachers do not have an in-depth understanding of the chemical phenomena in daily life; The heavy teaching tasks of the chemistry teachers have impact on the implementation of practical teaching. According to the questionnaire survey result, it gives some suggestions to the teachers’ teaching, and puts forward the life-oriented teaching strategies for chemistry course in high school combining with the relevant cases.
