In a new round of reform of basic education, one kind of curriculum that aim tocultivate the students ’innovative spirit and practical ability, enhance students’ senseof social responsibility,which is called integrated practical activities curriculum,become the highlights of the reform and caused the attention of educators. To analyzethe status of implementation of the integrated practical activities curriculum, hasimportant practical significance to further the implementation of the new curriculum.In the study, employ the literature method, questionnaire survey and interview tostudy the status of implementation of the integrated practical activity curriculum inChuXiong city primary school, aimed at understanding the implementationachievements of progress of the curriculum, found the problems and makerecommendations for improvement.The study found that, it has made some achievements in the implementation ofintegrated practical activities curriculum since2001.Performance in: the curriculumideas to be recognized, teachers’ teaching concepts and teaching ability have somechange; transformed the way of students learning. However, some problems havebeen found: First, the lack of understanding of the curriculum. Second, theimplementation of integrated practical activities is inadequate, performance in lack ofthe lesson of the curriculum; the implementation is casual and deformed. Third, lackof qualified teachers, performance in the insufficient number of courses instructor, theinstructor business level is not high, and lack of training teachers; Fourth, curriculumresources and utilization are scarce, performance in lacking of school curriculumresources, the exploitation of extramural courses is inadequate and the capacity ofdeveloping curriculum resources is lacking. Fifth, protection is inadequate,performance in lacking of curriculum planning and management, inadequate fundingand the lack of series of system.For the problems in the implementation of integrated practical activitiescurriculum, some suggestion is put forward: First, strengthen the course awareness and improve the understanding of integrated practical activities curriculum; Second,strengthen the teacher training to guarantee the curricular implementation; Third,improve the curriculum’s safeguard mechanism and strengthen the management ofthe implementation of the curriculum; Fourth, develop the curriculum resourcesrationally and improve the utilization of them.
