At the beginning of the new century,Jiangsu province set up to reform the curriculum,Chinese compulsory textbooks for senior middle school also included. Foreign literature isan important part of Chinese textbook for senior middle school as a result, it becomes animportant part of the new curriculum reform. Selection of foreign literature qualitydirectly affects the whole language teaching activities’quality and foreign literatureteaching effect also influences students’ learning enthusiasm and interest. Under the bigbackground of new curriculum reform, how to teaching foreign literature of senior middleschool Chinese compulsory textbooks let students truly feeled the unique charm of foreignliterary works; And how does foreign literature adapt to the needs of times development,what kind of foreign literature is advantageous to students’ mental and physical healthydevelopment; How to motivate teachers and students to study foreign literature instead ofneglected its importance. Solving these problems is imminent. First,the article studys theexisting problems of the foreign literature on Chinese compulsory textbooks for Jiang Suhigh schools; then, I will analyze the reasons for these problems; last, according to theseproblems and reasons, I will put forward some relevant teaching strategies to provide anin-depth discussion of available space for foreign literature teaching innovation.
