Since we carried out the reform and opening policy, China’s economy, scienceand technology have been developing rapidly. Thus, the society urgently needs moreinnovative talents. College students are those with high degree of professionaleducation and comprehensive quality. They are important resource in starting abusiness. To meet the need of economic development and provide talents fortechnology, society needs encourage students to start a business and cultivateentrepreneurs. So, encouraging students to start a business is inevitable demand of thetimes, and it is significant for building a well-off society in an all-round way, aharmonious socialist society and realizing the great revival of Chinese nation.However, the students who want to start a business are less than those in westerncountries. In addition, the successful rate is lower. Nowadays, it is an importantsubject for government to encourage students to start a business. Based on facts andrelevant research, talking Changchun city as a sample and adopting research methods,the dissertation applies the theories of ideological and political education,management and sociology to study and probe starting business of College students,also it provide the government with the reference to make policies.Entrepreneurship is a process which is based on the group of university students’knowledge and skills of their own, breaking the shackles of the resources ofemployment currently, finding opportunities and achieving wealth and value. Thedissertation tries to reveal current situation of entrepreneurship objectively andtruthfully. It summarizes the work of entrepreneurship from three aspects, includingthe support in entrepreneurship of the government which is an important guarantee,the cooperation among every department of society which is an essential power andchanging concepts and practicing actively which are the fundamental motions. At thesame time, this paper also discusses problems existing in entrepreneurship, mainlyabout the low speed in changing the roles of government and the defects inentrepreneurship system, the lack of financing channels to accumulate funds, as well as financial supports and tax preferences. What’s more, entrepreneurship educationcan’t adapt to the needs of society and students. Finally, the comprehensive quality ofentrepreneurs should be improved. The paper also analyses the reasons of theproblems. On the basis of this, according to the developing trend of entrepreneurship,the paper put forward some measures to solve the problems.
