With the rapid development of economy, and the continual progress of society, the development of vulnerable groups is gradually getting more attention, especially the development of the disabled. According to the current statistics, the share of the disabled in the total proportion is a large percentage, nearly 6%, while the percentage of the disable child in the disabled is about 6%. Disable children are not old enough to form proper values of life and the world, so they should get more social extensive attention and more concern and help from the community. Because of the physical deficit of their own and the external pressure, disabled children are under the different degree of psychological pressure, which causes the lack of self-confidence. For this reason, self-confidence promotion has a great influence in the healthy growth of the disabled children.Based on this, this article is on the foundation of the collection and obtainment of the information on the Internet and the literature review. It is supported by social support network theory, strength perspective theory and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It is combined with the reason and the result of six disabled children’s poor self-confidence and their needs. A supportive team has been set up, it provides an effective platform for them to promote their confidence. With the help of social worker, through the group activities, six disabled children relax themselves, vent their confusing, reacquaint themselves and accept themselves in purposeful interactions. They help each other, encourage each other and support each other, and the correct outlook on life and values has been set up. Thus, they effectively improve their confidence. They are not as sensitive, closed or cowardice as before. They begin to go out of their world and communicate with others. In addition, the author also summarizes the process and results of group work activities, summing up the success and shortcomings, looking at it objectively, reflecting the possible improvements, to provide referential experience in practice for the future researchers.
