Ancient poetry is an important part of Chinese Reading teaching in middle school. How to avoid a general appreciation of the shallow level in the process of teaching, have long plagued the first-line teachers. Introducing appropriately and properly Chinese ancient literary theory to teaching provides new ideas and new methods to solve this problem. In the reading teaching of ancient poetry, it’s often that introducing the author’s life experience and the background of writing, which is consistent with the theory request of Understanding People and Discussing Society, and the Chinese ancient literary theory often unwittingly involved in the appreciation of ancient poetry tasting. It directly and indirectly affect the teaching of ancient poetry in middle school and it has influence on the students’ literature acceptance. Therefore, under the guidance of education regulations named The Course Standard of Chinese in Compulsory Education and The Course Standard of Chinese in Ordinary High School(Experiment), to study how to use the ancient Chinese literature for guiding the teaching of ancient poetry in middle school is in line with Working Points of the Ministry of education in 2014 which requires people paying attention to the excellent traditional culture of China. In the course of the study, using literature method, questionnaire survey method, interview research method, through reviewing journals which related present situation and strategy of the teaching of ancient poem in middle school and the application of Chinese ancient literary theory, how to guide teaching of ancient poetry in middle school by making use of the Chinese ancient literary theory can be explored. In accordance with the curriculum standards, under the premise of constructing doctrine, teaching students according to their aptitude and being led by teacher, how to design the teaching aim, choose teaching method and content, and set curriculum objectives by making use of Chinese ancient literary theory is analysed, and practice of teaching by combining Spring View and the Song of the Cottage Broken by the Autumn Wind by Du Fu, to Meditate on the past of Chi bi by Su Shi and Inscription of My Shack by Liu Yuxi is attempted.The ancient Chinese literary theory has a unique perspective of, the literature theory guides the literature appreciation and highlight elements of the national cultural. In addition, it could directly improve the teachers’ teaching ability and the students’ ability of appreciate literature and promote the development of national language education. Therefore, this study is must and necessary.
