With the continuous development of social economy and culture, and the advancement of quality education,demands for high-quality talents in the new century is getting higher and higher. And national culture,as an important part of cultivating students’ quality, is playing an increasingly important role. National music education also has attracted the attention in the field of education. High school music appreciation course as the implementation of national music education’s importoming lower. Also, sant way, can not only inherit and carry forward the national music but also has a significant effect on the development of student’s national consciousness and national spirit. The author in the process of teaching also deeply felt the role of the education about teaching national music appreciation in high school. However, the national music teaching in China has great progress, but still faces many problems. By investigating, the author found that at present, a lot of high school students show too much love on pop music, but ignore the focus and learning on national music, which leads to the national music cognition and aesthetic ability becchool leaders and teachers’ degree of attention to the ethnic music directly affect the implementation of the national music teaching effect. How to improve the level of national music appreciation teaching effect in high school turns to be the problem that educators and scholars need to study.In this article, according to the teaching experience in Fu Ning No.6 High Middle School and studying the investigation of 2014 countries music teachers in the Hebei Normal University, the author found out the problems existing in the national music appreciation teaching. In order to get the related data of national music appreciation teaching, the author used the survey method, interview method and observation method and analyzed carefully. With the literature method, the author found and read books and papers on national music appreciation teaching high school, and combined with his own teaching practice, through the national music teaching mode of exploration and practice to achieve the improvement of the local ethnic music teaching. At the same time the author put forward its own views and opinions on the results of the survey of national music appreciation teaching and some problems in teaching practice. The whole text is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction, mainly for the reason of selected topic, theoretical and practical significance,research status, research methods and so on. The second part is the summary of national music appreciation teaching high school, including two aspects. On the one hand,it’s the state of high school music appreciation and the new curriculum concept; on the other hand it is about the position in the national music teaching and the role of the music appreciation course. The third part is the investigation and analysis about present national high school music appreciation teaching, which includes investigation of the student’s study present situation in Fu Ning No.6 High Middle School and countries music teachers’ teaching present situation from Hebei Normal University in 2014. In the meantime, the author analyzed the problems existing in the teaching from the aspects of students, teachers, teaching materials and the environment. The fourth part is the exploration and practice of the national music appreciation teaching mode. The fifth part is the summary and thinking of high school music appreciation teaching practice.
