The Current Situation Investigation And Countermeasure Research Of Rural Teachers’ Professional Development In Southwest China

It’s well known that the teacher is playing a vital role in school education and teaching quality, so teachers’ professional development is the key of the educational development. More higher demands about teachers’qualities have been provided by the deepening of education reform in China. Therefore the teachers’ professional development has become the focus of attention. At the same time, the stress of education reform contribute to the teachers’ developing profession. The support, demands and problems for teachers’ professional development in different areas is different. Such as the relatively backward educational situation and the limited educational resources of southwest rural areas, where the teachers’ professional development should be paid more attention. The aim of my study is to research the current situation of southwest rural teachers’ professional development, to find the problems and demands in the process of teachers’ professional development, and then to provide some efficient tactics to further improve teachers’ profession.There are five parts in whole paper:Part one:The definition of rural teachers’ professional development. After analyzing profession, development, rural and teacher professional development, this part insist that rural is the town and village in China’s administrative region, teachers’ professional development emphasis on individual, active and positive professional development, reflects a dynamic development process of individual teacher from the non-professional to specialization (consciousness).Part two:The investigation to the teachers’professional development in southwest rural areas, including the design of survey tools, content, method and selection of object, as well as the analysis of current situation. According to the "Professional Standards for Teachers", including professional philosophy and ethics, professional knowledge, professional ability made on the multiple projects in three dimensions, my study design the questionnaire named "The Rural Teachers’ Professional Development Present Situation Investigation In Southwest China" to investigate the current situation of teachers’ professional development under different background as content, in the southwest of our country rural school of primary and secondary school teachers as sampling survey method, the 800 primary and secondary school teachers in the countryside as investigation object. The final research conclusion:southwest rural teachers’ professional development in our country is in average level; Their professional development is full of internal motivation, but it is still restricted by external factors; Of groups of different rural teacher professional development level exists significant differences.Part three:The tactics of our country rural teachers’ professional development in southwest China. According to the results of the above, this part countermeasures were put forward rural teachers’ professional development in southwest in China, mainly including:the first is the guarantee of need external conditions, namely ample rural education resources, and plenty of time needed for rural teachers’ professional development safeguard; The second is action team of teachers’ professional development activities, namely rural teacher training, interaction between urban and rural teachers; The third is the rural teachers’ independent professional development activities, that is, set reasonable goals, promote professional development intrinsic motivation, text reading, strengthen the theory training and teaching reflection, to achieve comprehensive improvement.
