Nowadays, with the rapid improvement of our country urbanization level, thedevelopment in the western region is gradually promoting. Influenced by theurbanization, the villages have been rendered many problems, such as ecologicaldestruction, characteristic disappeared and the phenomenon of villages hollowing out.Gannan Tibetan areas, fragile ecological environment in the han, Tibetan cultureintersection area, the han, hui, Mongolian, the influence of pluralistic culture, has adistinct regional characteristic. Under the background of rapid urbanization in northwestregion, how to make possible the continuation of traditional characteristics of Gannanregion village, to protect the ecological environment, has become a problem have toface.The basic methods of this study based on the fieldwork, the first of several typicaltraditional settlements of Gannan field visits, through space research and comparativeanalysis between villages, combed the Gannan spatial characteristics and connotation oftraditional settlements. Second, with the connotation of human settlements which isthree groups of relations as a starting point, from three aspects: nature, society andreligion, the wisdom of traditional settlements space in Gannan in construction arediscussed. In the natural level, from the aspects of location, landscape pattern, gatheringpattern and so on, read the Gannan Tibetan on the natural environment in humansettlements construction in the wisdom of the present. At the social level, from a varietyof social relations, this paper puts forward the settlement within the space of three order,namely the integral space is in order, links the hierarchical order and public space ofresidential space order.
