History learning motivation refers to learners’ needs and an understanding of history learning, it includes two basic factors drive and incentive. The main role of the historical motivation are:to stimulate students’ interest in learning history; history of learning activities to maintain and regulate the intensity and time; establish correct historical learning objectives; learn the correct evaluation of historical events and historical figures; establish a correct outlook on life and values.History learning requires a high level of motivation. The history of the middle school students learning motivation level is generally low in our country. To do this, I surveyed the pool of XiChuan high middle school students’ history learning motivation, found the students’ interest in learning history is not high, the target is not clear; History classroom teaching can’t play its role; Not enough incentives on history learning; Environmental factors that influence the improvement of students learning motivation problem such as history.According to the above problems, and combined with the theory of learning motivation, this article from the internal and external two aspects to improve students’ learning motivation.. history in ways we from stimulate students interest in learning, to optimize the classroom teaching, and respect students, three aspects from the student standpoint to cultivate and improve the high middle school students’ learning motivation of history. In respect of external by insisting on oath before class, let the students find themselves; Learning set an example for the students; For students self-motivation; Teachers implement necessary rewards and punishments measures, such as ways to improve students’ learning motivation of history. In addition, the environment and the students individual differences should be paid attention to in the implementation of measures to improve the two aspects of learning motivation.I hope these Suggestions to improve the history of high school students learning motivation plays a role, contribute to the history of our country education career.
