With the rapid development of positive psychology,scholars begin to pay more attention to the positive opposite of learning burnout,learning engagement.Learning engagement is a psychological engagement that students use to learn,understand and master knowledge and skills,it is one of the important standards to measure the initiative and enthusiasm of students in learning,it is also an important criterion for judging the quality of education.In recent years,the research on learning engagement in China has achieved fruitful results,but there is still a big gap between China and foreign countries.Especially,the research on the learning input of primary school students is weak,Therefore,the author discusses the status quo of primary school students' learning engagement in order to enrich the theoretical research on learning engagement and provide some references for teachers' teaching practice and parents' family education.This study through literature method,as well as the education survey method of questionnaire investigation and interview method,for study in primary school students' learning engagement.Firstly,this paper summarizes and sorts out the literature to discuss the connotation and components of learning input,and provides theoretical basis for the preparation of the questionnaire.Secondly,the author investigated the status quo of learning engagement of 413 primary school students in three types of schools in S district of chongqing,namely,urban,rural and urban-rural areas,by using the questionnaire of primary school students' learning engagement compiled by himself.Based on the statistical analysis of the survey data,the status quo and problems of learning engagement of primary school students in S district of chongqing are summarized.Based on the interviews with six teachers,this paper analyzes the causes of the problems and puts forward the countermeasures to improve the learning engagement of senior students in S district primary schools in chongqing.The following conclusions are drawn from the study.The overall level of learning engagement of senior grade school students in S district of chongqing is relatively high.Moreover,there are significant differences in gender,school type,parents' educational background,class cadre status and single parent status,and no significant difference in grade and one-child status.Specifically,boys' learning engagement level is lower than girls.The level of learning engagement of students in rural schools is lower than that of students in urban and rural-urban fringe schools.The level of learning engagement of non-class cadre is lower than that of class cadre.Students from single-parent families are less engaged in learning than those from non-single-parent families.Students with low educational background have lower level of behavioral and cognitive involvement than those with high educational background.In view of the problems existing in primary school students' learning engagement,combined with interviews and theoretical research,the author analyzed the causes of the problems from multiple aspects and proposed relative solutions.There are mainly: teachers to improve teaching skills,develop students' interest in learning;enrich class life,practice class cadre rotation system,improve student participation.Parents to strengthen supervision,to create a good family learning environment.The state increases support for rural basic education and establishes a reasonable mechanism of teacher turnover.
