This study take the examples of TaiheMiddle School and115secondary schools in Baiyun District of Guangzhou City. Bothjunior two students and their parents are investigated in form of questionnaires,exploring parents’ sexual education condition to their own children in two differentperspectives, and expecting for the effective ways of family education. Survey resultsshow that current sexual education from parents can not meet the needs of junior twostudents. Due to the physical development in advance and psychological ill-prepared,junior two students generally lack of relevant knowledge, or improper access. Moststudents’ desire learning from their parents for more attentions, but their parents do notact well to help them acquire the knowledge. Most parents have not given sexualeducation at all, low concerning about children’s sexual health education, let alonetheir children’s sexual confusion and troubles. It is universal that parents themselvesare ignorant of sexual knowledge, skills of children’s sex education. That means familysex education is being neglect to some degree.According to the analysis of this study, there summarize parents behavior andperformance into two aspects: awareness and capability. It is constructing the “parentalawareness of children’s sexual education competency model within junior twostudents", as well as some propose solutions and recommendations. With the hope todevelop appropriate family education strategy, the thesis provides scientificinformation so as to give full play the role of the parents for sexual education. It willfind an effective ways for the parents with junior two students to help their youngpeople grow up healthily.
