As student status being highlighted in the higher education, the student experience survey has gradually become a new trend of quality assurance of higher education in some developed countries. Since higher education enrollment expansion in1999in our country, a number of problems are growing in graduate education, such as postgraduates classroom teaching is larger, the curriculum system is not reasonable, the teaching process is not standard enough, postgraduate students are lack of initiative, scientific research ability is insufficient and so on. While classroom teaching is the direct factor affecting postgraduate teaching quality, postgraduate students are the direct participants in classroom teaching. So, researching on classroom experience of postgraduate has a great significance on effective teaching and in improving the quality of higher education.In this paper, firstly, we defined the experience of classroom and analyzed value of postgraduate classroom experience and the survey dimensions, laid a solid foundation for the implementation of postgraduate classroom experience survey. Then we build the index system of academic learning oriented postgraduate student’s classroom experience, from four levels:the classroom environment, classroom teaching process, the effect of classroom teaching, classroom participation, and compiled the classroom experience questionnaire, investigated more than700full-time postgraduate students in three representative universities of Hunan province. We draw a conclusion:postgraduate student’s scores on classroom perception were generally lower, four level of classroom experience is not high; Teaching content is unattractive, part of teaching content is boring, it is not able to track professional frontal problems effectively, and its application is not strong; Most of the teachers don’t pay much attention to classroom teaching; Interaction and communication between teachers and students needs to be improved; Postgraduate students are blundering, their classroom learning initiative is not enough. Gender, grade, subject, the years of work before graduate, whether undergraduate and graduates subject is the same are significantly different in classroom experience.
