Shortly after the beginning of the new poetry, it entered the middle school Chinesetextbook, as an important part of middle school Chinese teaching, but has not brought to theattention of the corresponding practical teaching. Based on the fact, this paper adoptsquestionnaire survey method to investigate the problems existing in current high schoolpoetry teaching from aspects of students, teachers teaching materials and the content of thenew poetry, as well as giving the corresponding countermeasures the rough the analysis ofthese reasons. Through methods of on-the-spot investigation, discovering problems, analyzingproblems and putting forward countermeasures, the aims of this paper is to attempt to bringhigh school Chinese new poetry teaching to the attention of teachers and students andfurthermore, play an aesthetic and humanistic education role in middle school textbooks.The paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter mainly points out the currentsituation of the high school poetry teaching based on the questionnaire survey. It expoundsfrom the four aspects of the acception of the new poetry, the current situation of the newpoetry teaching, teaching material compilation of new poetry and the review methods of newpoetry.The second chapter analyzes the main problems of the new poetry teaching. First,students don’t show much interest in new poetry study due to subjective and objective reasons.Second, teachers lack teaching methods and professionalism of new poetry. Last, theevaluation ways of new poetry teaching lacks diversity.The thirds chapter attempts to give practical strategies to new poetry teaching fromaspects of gaining an overall perception through guided reading, removing obstacles throughanalysis of imagery, stimulating the imagination through creating situations and expressingthe feelings through encouraging the creation.
