The Correlation Between The Degree Of Organization And The Political Efficacy Of The Citizens

With the deepening of the urbanization, urban community constantly suffer the consequences of modernization. on the one hand, urban residents’ subjective consciousness are awakening, but whether the extension of individual rights bring their positive participation behavior worth pondering at present. However, if people join an organization and act actively, the possibility that they participate in the political affairs will increase;the thesis bases on this judge to explore whether the organizational development of the urban residents will influence the political participation attitude in the new period of the national comprehensive promoting the modernization of grassroots governance, that is to research the correlation between the degree of organization and political efficacy of the citiens.Thesis mainly uses the empirical analysis methods, according to investigate and survey an community in Shanghai, and the survey combines the questionnaire with interviews,depicting the basic situation of residents organized and the overall condition of public political efficacy in Shanghai, and analysis the relationship between them on the basis of above in-depth. The degree of organization of the citizens is measured whether the residents participate in the organization,the number of organization, the relationship between the organization and structure and operation of the organization; Political efficacy is measured with three levels including the central government, the local government and the community citizens’ committees as well as two dimensions including internal political efficacy and external political efficacy. The thesis use the statistical software SPSS19.0 with frequency, crosstab,chi-square test,single factor variance and regression method to analysis the relevant of different variables. According to statistics, the results found that people’s political efficacy overall level is higher, showing the characteristics of" internal political efficacy lower and external political efficacy higher"; From the overall,the degree of Residents organization is limited and the population structure participation slightly imbalances. Whether the citiens join the organization do impact on the political efficacy, but the involvement of organization quantity is not significant relationship with the political efficacy. Comparing to the types of the organizations found that the political efficacy of the community citizens’committees is imbalanced in internal political efficacy and external political efficacy, and the owners’committee is inefficiencies in promoting political efficacy, meanwhile voluntary and entertained organization is limited in promotion of political efficacy. Involving in the internal organization structure found that the high degree of autonomy couldn’t bring higher of political efficacy; The higher the group cohesion, the higher the overall level of political efficacy; Organization system specification level is higher, the higher of the political efficacy of citizens of community; the more of the organization’s effectiveness, the more personal political efficacy. In general, general organizational degree influenced the level of the political efficacy.Thus we should strengthen fostering social organization and promote organized participation in the future of the urbanization, which will become the important content to drive grassroots social democratic political construction in future.
