Research On Characteristics And Trajectory Of The New Citizens' Political Efficacy In The Process Of Urbanization

Human modernization as the fundamental purpose of urbanization,is a measure of the fundamental index of the level of urbanization.Thus,with the continuous advance of urbanization process in China,how the degree of realization for the human modernization?What followed the path of development?Academic circles at home and abroad on this issue formed two diametrically opposed theories-human modernization in"positive theory"and "negative doctrine." Political efficacy as modern political level requirements,has its inner harmony with human modernization.In this paper,a unique group of new citizens is the study objects.Political efficacy is the research content.And this paper from static and dynamic perspective described the static feature and dynamic perspective.It can rich the theory of the political efficacy,at the same time,trying to respond the theory controversy of "human modernization".Adapting the new citizen political efficacy questionnaire,including the quantitative research methods and comparative research methods,this paper conduct a full range of analysis for the new citizens' political efficacy.In order to compensate for the lack of time series data,the author uses cross-sectional data.According to the gradually advanced of the degree of urbanization,new citizens can divided into "suburban village","city center village","village to habitat","village to habitat live together".Studies have shown that:First,from a static perspective,new citizens' political efficacy showed an overall low level features,"intrinsically low and extrinsically high" structure characteristic and pseudo-rational level features.Second,from a dynamic perspective,the political efficacy of each new citizen groups did not increase with the advance of urbanization and improved exhibit linear trajectory accordingly,but exhibit complex changes trajectory.Specifically,at the community level political efficacy,four types of new citizens groups basis on the degree of urbanization improved,showed the strong "U" shaped track.And on the government level,showed the weak "V" shaped trajectory.Third,the new citizens' "disembeding" political efficacy reflected the "disorder"state of human modernization.And new citizen political efficacy "adaptive"change inflected track explained the human modernization process was not appeared the straight positive development,but showed a tortuous,complicated and low development features.Thus,we need to clear principles of fostering new citizen' political efficacy,and make efforts from all directions,to achieve improvement of new citizens' political efficacy,so that make the human modernization realize.
