Chinese vocabulary teaching is a set of phonetic, semantic, grammatical and cultural integration in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. A student’s mastery of vocabulary largely determines his Chinese level. The theme of the speech and improvisation in "Chinese Bridge" competition is an important part of the players’ vocabulary output. Study these two aspects can be found more their vocabulary using condition.This paper takes the 11-14th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students as the object of study.469 players’ keynotes and improvisation discourse were selected o analyze players’ vocabulary application by statistical analysis, error analysis and other analysis methods. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions according to the players’ vocabulary application.The second chapter mainly analyzes the application of connection words in the "Chinese Bridge" Competition by two aspects that language type and time dimensions; we find participants prefer to use transition words. In terms of related words, there are three main contestants Errors, that omission related words, inappropriate related words and unnecessary related words. Thus, according to the related words’ application characteristics and error types provided some suggestions from two aspects that typical examples and comparative. Teachers should give typical sentence to demonstrate according to the situation when explaining related words, which made the using of related words specific, explicit. After students learning a lot of related words, teachers can sum them up in stages, and compared the new and has studied related words.The third chapter collects idioms in "Chinese Bridge" Competition and analyzes the idiom application. Statistics showed that participants used idioms very little and errors rate were relatively low. The mainly reason is that participants grasp the meaning of the idioms were not accurate enough. Therefore, in the idioms teaching process, teachers should explain the meaning of each morpheme, after accumulating a certain number of idioms, higher rates of morpheme in idioms, has many different meanings of morphemes, and those who differ from that of the meaning of the modern Chinese morpheme are focused on. At the same time, we also encourage students to practice, boldly use idioms.The fourth chapter summarizes the synonyms errors and classified synonyms in the "Chinese bridge" competition.In terms of types of errors, players’ errors mainly contain same morpheme synonyms errors. Therefore, this paper provides suggestions for synonyms teaching according to the real classroom teaching during the internship and its own type of errors. When explaining the synonyms that contain the same morpheme should follow the principle with the divergent, and starting from the same morpheme, certainly the same meaning between the two words, then focuses on distinct morpheme. When explaining other synonyms, we must first analyze morpheme meaning of the similarities and differences between the two terms, each term followed by analyzes the use conditions, application objects and other conditions. At the same time, teachers in the classroom teaching should improve the reproducibility rate of synonyms, repeatedly mentioned in the review and inspection aspects.The fifth chapter summarizes the characteristics of words in "Chinese bridge" competition and points out the shortages of this paper.
