In recent years, with the communication between China and the rest of the world growing stronger, large quantities of foreign works in the field of social sciences have been brought into the Chinese market through translation, creating a huge demand for translation. However, due to different reasons, quality problems prohibit the development of this kind of translation. This report is based on the chapter "Language for All in Education" from the book 2015 Content-based Language Learning in Multilingual Educational Environments-Springer newly published in 2015. The aim of this report is to discuss the strategies and techniques for the translation of social and scientific works by analyzing the process of translating. As a result, on one hand, the translator himself accumulates experience in translating practice; on the other hand, he has come to know his limits in translating professional works, which prepares himself a humble heart for future practices. |
