| Born in Mannheim, Germany, in 1771, Johann Baptist Cramer is a famous European pianist, a composer, publisher, a piano manufacturer and a teacher in the18 th and 19 th century; in short, he has left countless wonderful experiences in his music career.The first half of the paper consists of three aspects including Cramer’s life experience, a series of his playing experience and performance characteristics as well as the outline of all kinds of his musical works. The author introduces Cramer’s wonderful musical career as much as possible. The other half of the article focuses on his creative works of etudes and in turn describes creative background, creative process as well as various versions of these etudes; then it makes a series of technical analysis on the most commonly used Bulow’s Edition of "Cramer Etude 60" abroad at present. Finally, the paper summarizes the practical characteristics and impact of Cramer’s etudes. |
