In 1920 s the provincial autonomy thoughts rose in the country, which was pursuited by a group of scholars and intellectuals. In order to get out of the North-South civil dispute, Hunan province, the crossroad of north and south, announced "Hunan Province autonomy". After political change, Zhao Hengti became the leader of Hunan province, and further pursued the “united-province autonomy†movement. In the province, he carred out “province autonomy†which was centered on the provincial constitution, and implement an amendment to the provincial constitution. Out of the province, he carred out the “United provinces activitiesâ€. He tried to convened the United provinces meeting, set provincial constitution and organize the United provinces autonomous government. With the unceasing change of the situation of the north and south, the political and military power of the south and north was changing constantly. It had a significant impact on the Changing Political Situation of Hunan province and the “United provinces activitiesâ€. “Signing hubei warâ€ã€â€œTan zhao war†and “Zhao Tang conflict†constantly devised the power of the united-province, which destructed the United provinces gradually.This paper mainly around Zhao Hengti’s kinds of political activities about “united-provincial autonomy†and it’s relationship with politicalchanges.
