Chen-style Taijiquan is an important branch and genre of Taijiquan with abundant cultural connotation. This paper is an interpreting practice report on Chinese Wushu Grade System Tutorial Series:Chen-style Taijiquan: first to fourth grade. The interpreter once practiced Chen-style Taijiquan. Before interpreting the material, she read the coordinated book over and over again, concluded the possible difficulties in interpreting, and made good preparations. Then she followed the teaching CD and made consecutive interpreting. During the process of consecutive interpreting, she treated the communicative translation theory of Newmark as the guiding principle, took literal translation as a chief method and liberal translation as secondary one.The interpreter generalized the process, difficulties, key points and the interpreting methods of interpreting of Chen-style Taijiquan first to fourth grade. Finally she came to the conclusion: before interpreting, interpreters must make good preparations of theory and practice. Interpreters should also learn well of the cultural background of Chen-style Taijiquan, its single practice routines, fighting routines, and decomposing skills. After making this interpreting practice, the interpreter learned that interpreting activity is not merely the real-time interpreting. Interpreters should make adequate preparations before the interpreting practice. She also learned about the interpreting strategies and methods of this kind of Wushu teaching CD. This interpreting practice provided rich theoretical support and experience for her future interpreting practices. This interpreting report includes six parts: the first part is introduction; the second part is the introduction of the interpreting material; the third part is about the preparation made by the interpreter before the real interpreting practice; the fourth part is about the interpreting process; the fifth part is case analysis; the sixth part is about the feasibility and shortcomings of the interpreting practice.
