Study On Discourse Maker Of ’Ni Shuo’

Discourse markers is a specific category that people often use in verbalcommunication. In this paper, we make ‘Ni-shuo’ in the oral conversation as theresearch object. We do a analysis of the functional categories、location and generatemotivation and so on.The study on discourse makers not only contribute to Help us to betterunderstand the Chinese picture, but also understand the cue points of conversationbetween the speaker and hearer. The research on discourse makers is of greattheoretical value and practical significance.Discourse markers almost lost the meaning of the words, but there is aprocedural meaning in the passages or sentences. It can offer function,and attracthearers,attention.This dissertation mainly consists of three parts including the preface,the mainpart and the conclusion.The preface serves as a general introduction,which briefly introduces the aimand significance of this paper. We summarize up the research achievements ofdiscourse makers，research methods and the source of data-analysis.From chapter2to chapter4this parts are the body of passage. Chapter2set anew definition of discourse makers, based on the discourse theory and thedata-analysis, make a research of ‘Ni-shuo’. This discourse maker include thediscourse maker in everywhere, not just the one in the middle of the sentences. Thispart explains features about ‘Ni-shuo’.Chapter3first write the evolution of the semantic meaning of ‘Ni shuo’, basedon the Adaptation Theory, Relevance Theory, and data-analysis, explainreasons.Besides, reason analysis mainly is concerned about psychological conditions of the speaker and objective factors involving such views as politeness principle, intersubjectivity as well as context adaptation and grammaticalization, etc.Chapter4and chapter5analyze two kinds of ‘Ni shuo’ discourse marker’sfunction, to explore their discourse position, sums it’s discourse information models.Forming a comprehensive understanding is good to master discourse makers‘Ni shuo’, the use of usage and communicate more better.In the end,the summury offers a comprehensive and thorough description ofdiscourse makers, and points out the research results and shortages.
