The elementary comprehensive teaching materials have a very important effect in the Chinese classroom teaching. Cultural words are one of the important content in the vocabulary teaching. It helps to improve the quality of the teaching which pertinence researches the cultural words in the teaching materials, so it is better to improve the efficiency of learning and to make it more successful intercultural communication. Therefore, in this thesis base on two sets of the elementary Chinese teaching materials widely used in China——“Boya Chinese—elementary” and “Development Chinese—elementary”. Comparative analysis of the culture words, on the basis of selection of culture loaded words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language provide reference suggestion.In this study, the cultural vocabulary distribution statistics of the two sets of teaching materials. The book I of “Boya Chinese” and “Development Chinese” distribution of roughly the same. But the type of distribution is more abundant in the book II of “Boya Chinese”. The second theme from the classification point of view, the two sets of textbooks in the cultural vocabulary only appeared in some subjects. After statistical analysis, Chinese culture theme in the “Development Chinese” ratio is relatively high. The comparative analysis of the two sets of textbook again, found the cultural vocabulary types of pertinence, practicability and interest is not prominent, the cultural vocabulary and prepare recommendations on the basis of comparison and analysis.
