On The Negative And Economical Sentences In Modern Chinese

Lots of new oral Chinese sentences appear in recent years,which are simple,semantic self-sufficiency and always with tone words.Moreover,they always have function of negative expression.Hence,from the perspective of function and semantic,the present paper will divide the twenty sentences into different groups according to different negative functions.And we named this kind of sentences Negative and Economical sentences.This paper is divided into six parts.In the first part, we defined the meaning of Ellipsis sentence through comparing with Elliptical Sentences and Sentence fragment.lt has the following features:(a)simple structure, complete mood;(b) Semantic self-sufficiency,with fixed format meaning;(c)difficult to supplement;(d)Surface structure and deep meaning is not the same.Besides the feature of Ellipsis sentence,Negative and Economical sentences have the function of negative expressing.In addition,the negative function and negative emotional expression are not the same.The second part analyze the overall features of Negative and Economical sentences.(a)In the case of voice,they are short and snappy;(b)commonly used modal words;(c)In the case of syntax,they are unconventional;(d)In the case of semantic and function,they are conventionally, unpredictability and with cross meanings.(e)Communication between the two sides have equal status.Then,the present paper divide the Negative and Economical sentences into three levels and five categories based on the focus of negation:(a)type of opposing behavior;(b)type of denying enthusiasm;(c)type of denying speculation;(d)type of negating expectations;(e)type of denying evaluation.Besides,the same NE sentence may have different negative functions in different context.The third and forth part is the research of two typical Negative and Economical sentences:"You Lai Le","Zhi Yu Ma". We do some analysis from the view of its semantic,the source of negative function and the process of subjectivization.Firstly, the semantic focus "You" lead to the formation of negative emotion of "You Lai Le"From the perspective of context,context suppression and cognitive motivation further promote the generation of its negative semantic."Zhi Yu Ma"has two kinds of meanings.According to different contexts,it can express the meaning of opposing behavior or denying enthusiasm.We think the formation of negative semantic of "Zhi Yu Ma"relates to the semantic evolution of "Zhi Yu"and the emergence of "Shen Zhi Yu".Besides,it may be caused by omission of the structure" Zhi Yu---Ma" But there are still lots of differences between these two structures.The fifth part is the summarization and analysis of innovation point in this paper.
