| The practice report is based on the translation work chosen from a collection of papers named Digital Education at the MOOC Crossroads Where the Interests of Academia and Business Converge,which were published by the Springer Nature in2019.In the process of the translation,a large number of negative structures are found in original texts.Accurate translations of the negative structures assist accurate comprehensions of original meanings conveyed from original texts.Hence,under the conversion method proposed by Barkhudarov,cases are analysed to resolve important and difficult points in the original texts,appropriate translation strategies on negative structure.In the practice report,negative structures are divided into four categories.Under the guidance of the relevant theory,pragmatic characteristics,semantic structures,and linguistic fields are included in the analyses.Four translation methods are concluded after the translation work.Under the four translation methods,detailed translation approaches are concluded.The specific translation approaches derived from four translation methods are capable of solving the majority of negative structures in the original texts.Thus,the guiding theory and related methods are able to help translate a large number of negative structures in original texts.The practice report aims at researching Chinese translations of negative structures in education academic articles,especially negative words in Chinese and English negative structures.In addition,the report also targets at summarizing laws of Chinese translations of such articles and providing a reference for forthcoming translation practices. |
