As an effective method and a crucial tool of modern human resources management, Performance Management System (PSM) has become one of the key points of achieving competitive advantage for modern companies. Therefore, applying scientific performance management to establish the realistic PMS, maximize the enthusiasm of the staff, improve the standard of company’s performance is an important subject of modern human resources management. This article first defined the concepts of performance, performance management and performance management system, discuss about the popular and welcomed modern methods of performance management, thus laying the foundation of establishing an effective performance management system for Ningbo Cultural Plaza. Through the analyze of company environment factors, this article discuss the opportunities and challenges, including its pros and cons which cleared the future corporate strategic direction and map. This article also analyzed the current performance management of Ningbo Cultural Plaza, pointed out the existed problems and related reasons. Based on the current performance management of Ningbo Cultural Plaza, this article chose the balanced scored card (BSC), key performance indicators (KPI) to design the performance management system of Ningbo Cultural Plaza. To improve and perfect the performance management system, Ningbo Cultural Plaza has set the Performance Management Committee and drafted the performance management institution circuit, performance guidance and performance improving method.To sum up, through the study of the performance management and management theory, and the design of the performance management system of Ningbo Cultural Plaza, the writer’s opinion upon this issue is that the performance management system of Ningbo Cultural Plaza should take contingency idea into consideration, in other word, human resource strategy and performance management system should be adjusted with the adjustment of the enterprise strategy. By this way, positive support can be built for the enterprise strategy, the strategy can be well served and the aim of improve firm competitiveness and performance can be achieved. |
