Chinese Medicine Fuzheng Jiedu Particles In Treating R-ecurrent Genital Herpes And The Influence On IL-2, IL-4 In The Peripheral Blood Of Patients

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Fuzheng Jiedu particles in treatment of recurrent genital herpes (RGH) and the influence on IL-2, IL-4, in the peripheral blood of patients. To discuss the mechanism of Fuzheng Jiedu particles decoction in treating RGH and the regulation in the immune function of patients.Methods:62 patients with RGH were randomly divided into the remedial group(with Fuzheng Jiedu particles),comparel group (with Aciclovir).The period of treatment is 4 weeks.To observe the relapse rate after 6 months and the abnormal reaction. Double-sandwich ELISA was used to detect the levels of IL-2. IL-4 of all patients before and after treatment, and 25 healthy volunteers as control group.Results:Treatment group, the relapse rate 32.3%, significantly lower than the control group 61.3%, the difference was significant (P<0.05). Patients before treatment compared with healthy people the level of IL-2 decreased, IL-4 levels increased, the difference was significant (P<0.05). The two groups after treatment peripheral blood of patients with IL-4 levels returned to normal, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Treatment group in patients with increased levels of IL-2, did not return to normal, but compare-ed with the pre-treatment difference was significant (P<0.05). The control group IL-2 level lower than the treatment group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions:The Fuzheng Jiedu particles decoction can reduce the relapse rate of RGH and it may enhance the immunity of the patie-nts.
