Objective: To evaluate the curative effect of arthroscopic assisted comprehensive surgery in the treatment of recurrent dislocation of the patella. Methods: From January 2012 to March 2015,selected patients with recurrent patella dislocation,64 cases including 17 males and 47 females.According to the surgical indications, 36 cases was released by arthroscopic patellar lateral retinaculum release combine the medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction,28 cases by arthroscopic patellar lateral retinaculum release combine the Fulkerson tibial tubercle anteromedial elevated osteotomy and the medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction.Radiological scanning measure the congruance angle(CA),patellar tilt angle(PTA) and the TT-TG,estimate the function of knee with Kujala,Lyshoim and IKDC scores during preoperation and postoperation. Results: 57 cases of patients were followed up for 20.5 months in average(range 12 to37 months). All patients’ subjective symptoms and objective signs were significantly improved after operation at the last follow-up.The congruance angle(CA) and patellar tilt angle(PTA) were respectively reduced. The mean Kujala,Lysholm and IKDC scores were improved. The TT-TG of group which combine the Fulkerson tibial tubercle anteromedial elevated osteotomy were respectively reduced. All the data show statistically significant difference preoperatively(p<0.05).Conclusion: By using comprehensive surgery treatment under the arthroscopy is effective to treat recurrent dislocation of the patella, this operation was proved to alleviate symptoms, conducive to recover the function of knee to patients and prevent the recurrence.
