Clinical Study Of Arthroscopic Reconstruction Of Medial Patellofemoral Ligament For The Treatment Of Recurrent Patellar Dislocation

Objective:To study the clinical effect of arthroscopic medial patellofemoral ligament(MPFL)reconstruction in the treatment of recurrent patella dislocation;Methods:From April 2013 to July 2016 the hospital treatment of 25 patients with recurrent patellar dislocation in our hospital department of orthopedics(26 knees)and 11 men(11 knees)and 14 females(15 knees),aged 14-41 years old,the average age of 19.5 years,dislocation2-5 times for the first time when the disease mostly has the history of knee joint caused by dislocation of patella trauma.All patients were treated with autologous semitendinosus tendon for reconstruction of medial patellofemoral ligament,and according to the individual situation combined with lateral retinacular release after operation;2 cases were lost,the remaining 23 cases were followed up,the follow-up time was 12-24 months,average 16 months,including the subjective assessment before and after operation(Lysholm and Kujala score)and objective(patellar stability: fear test and extrapolation tests and imaging evaluation of two),used SPSS17.0 software for statistical analysis,measurement data using the mean and standard deviation(?X ± s),comparison between groups using paired t test.The difference was statistically significant with P < 0.05.Results: All incisions were healed,the fear test was negative,the stability of the knee joint were improved obviously,no recurrent dislocation during the follow-up period,2 cases in 10 weeks after operation of knee joint activities is limited,after rehabilitation treatment returned to normal;patellar tilt angle and congrueced angle were decreased(P<0.05),Lysholm after operation and compared with the preoperative Kujalascore improvement(P<0.05).Conclusion: Arthroscopic reconstruction of medial patellofemoral ligament combined with other surgical treatment of recurrent dislocation of the patella can be effective in the treatment of patellar instability,prevent patellar dislocation,and with less trauma and faster recovery,less complications advantages,can effectively make the knee joint function of patients improved significantly improve knee stability,improve the quality of life of patients.
