Investigation And Analysis On Multiple Chronic Condition(MCC)of Inpatients In A Hospital

Objective:To retrospectively investigate the patient’s basic situation of a hospital from January 2012 to June 2014,and to analyze the sick coexistence relationship with age, sex,occupation,and so on.To learn more about the statistics of patients according to the number of cases about the top category of diseases.According this,we will bring up the new ideas of the sick coexistence for the prevention and treatment of sick patients.Methods:Extracting from a hospital information system to get the hospital patient’s basic medical information from January 2012 to June 2014,according to the International Classification of Diseases(ICD-10) standard classification system. Using Excel 2003 software for data processing, and to statistic with Chi-square test and compare the result with rows correlation test.Results:From 2012 to 2014 June,hospitalized patients with diseases in department of internal medicine of a hospital was 38251 people. According to the statistical data analysis of hospitalized patients, six kinds of diseases of patients accounted for the largest proportion, 70.39% of patients with three or more diseases. with the growth of the age,disease gradually increase, more patients over 50 years old suffer from various diseases. patients suffering from various diseases, retired workers, farmers, workers accounted for a large proportion. there were more male than female, patients over 50 years old suffer from various diseases. As the growth of the age, the patient’s disease species gradually increase, more than 50 years of age or older patients significantly increased the proportion of various diseases. Four kinds of chronic disease of gender differences is the largest. The patients with a variety of diseases, such as retiree,peasants, workers have greater proportion. seven of the most common internalmedicine diseases in the hospital according to the number of cases rowing from high to low in turn was high blood pressure, malignant tumor, diabetes, respiratory disease, cerebrovas cular disease.Conclusion:At present,our country is entering the aging society, sick coexistence problem increase prominently, and strengthen the health management, advocate general medical treatment is of great importance.
