| PurposeThe research is to learn about laws of acupuncture used to treat hyperplasia of mammary glands and its domestic status in the past decade so as to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of mammo-hyperplasia by acupuncture to make an objective analysis of its curative effect, which would provide references for clinical decision-making.MethodBibliometrics methods is conducted to analyze literatures on clinical research on treatment of mammo-hyperplasia by acupuncture in the past ten years, according to STRICTA standards and CONSORT statement, evaluating systematically the quality of relevant RCT literature and Meta-analysis is carried out to analyze relevant data.Using China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) as the data source, the research is conducted to analyze the relevant literatures by extracting the document’s basic information, methods, measurement analysis, acupuncture point prescriptions and other information. The research retrieves randomized controlled trial about acupuncture treatment of mammo-hyperplasia published both at home and abroad. The research selects the retrieved studies and collection data, and evaluates the quality according to CONSORT statement and the STRICTA standards. Then we assessed the risk of bias of the included randomized controlled trial (RCT) according to the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions. The Cochrane Collaboration’s software Revman 5.3 was used for meta-analysis.ResultsBibliometric studies:literature detection was related with 451 references and among them 152 articles is included in after screening. In terms of points, the top ten points are followed by:Danzhong(RN17), Zusanli(ST36), Rugen(ST18), Taichong(LR3), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Ganshu(BL18), Wuyi(ST15), Jianjing(GB21), Hegu(LI4), Tianzong(SI11). Points concentrate on the stomach meridian, the ren meridian, the urinary bladder meridian and the liver meridian.Literature quality:1444 articles related to this study were detected, among which 27 were included. The results showed the vast majority of the included literature did not detailed describe the random method, and allocation concealment and blinding method remain to be discussed.Meta-analysis:in term of the cure rate, acupuncture had a higher rate than drug, combined the traditional proprietary Chinese medicine and acupuncture had a higher rate than traditional proprietary Chinese medicine, combined Chinese herbal and acupuncture had a higher rate than the traditional Chinese medicine, combined traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture had a higher rate than the traditional Chinese medicine, combined western medicine and acupuncture had a higher rate than western medicine, western medicine had no statistically significant with combined Chinese herbal medicine and western medicine. Fire needle and moxibustion treatment were effective for curing mammo-hyperplasia.However, the results should be interpreted with caution because of the heterogeneity among the included studies and the unclear risk of bias. It is necessary to further development of high-quality, large sample, randomized clinical controlled trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety.ConclusionAcupuncture is a safe and effective method of treatment of mammo-hyperplasia. Looking forward to more high-quality clinical research literature, so that the results of the study may be further confirmed which provide more references for clinical decision-making. |
