The Effect Of Xiaoqinglong Decoction Transfermation On The Children With Cough Variant Asthma By Regulation Of IgG₄ And ICAM-1

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation on the children with Cough Variant Asthma and its regulation of IgG₄ and ICAM-1, comprehensively evaluate the effect of Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation in the treatment of Cough Variant Asthma in children and provide clinical and immune function basis for further explain of the mechanism of Cough Variant Asthma.MethodThis study was designed as a prospective randomized clinical control study, 40 cases of children with Cough Variant Asthma were randomly divided into 2 groups, named ad named as the test group and the control group with 20 cases in each group. The control group were treated with inhaled budesonide and oral montelukast and the test group were treated with Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation associated with the treatment used in the control group. Symptoms before and after the treatment were calculated, and the level of IgG₄ and ICAM-1 in peripheral blood sample were analyzed before and after the treatment. Then statistical software SPSS22.0 was used to analyze all of the data.Results1.40 children with Cough Variant Asthma were included in this study, there wasn’t a significant difference between the baseline character of two groups, including tender, age distribution（P>0.05）.2. After the treatment of one week, there wasn’t a significant difference on the efficacy between the two groups after treatment（P>0.05）.3. After the treatment of one month, there was a significant difference on the efficacy between the two groups after treatment （P<0.05）.4. According to the 3-month follow-up, there was a significant difference on the times of the recurrence between the two groups after treatment（P< 0.05）.5. There wasn’t a significant difference on the level of IgG₄ and ICAM-1 between the two groups before treatment （P>0.05）.6. There wasn’t a significant difference on the level of IgG₄ and ICAM-1 between the two groups after treatment （P>0.05）.7. ICAM-1 of the two groups was significantly different from the corresponding status before.treatment （P<0.05）.8. IgG₄ of the two groups wasn’t significantly different from the corresponding status before treatment （P>0.05）.Conclusion1. The clinic efficacy in the tested group after the treatment of one week was not different from the control group while the clinic efficacy in the tested group after the treatment of one month was better than the control group, owning to the function of the Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation. The Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation could warm the lungs and balance the function of the lungs and the liver to make yin and yang harmonious., which can strengthen the body.2. The recurrence of Cough Variant Asthma of the tested group after a 3-month follow-up was significantly decreased compared to the control group, so the Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation might improve the vital qi, strenthen the body against the evil qi.3. The regulation of the level of ICAM-1 in the tested group before treatment was not significantly different from the conctrol group, so the baseline was equal between two groups. The regulation of the level of ICAM-1 in the tested group after treatment was significantly decreased compared to the conctrol group, so the Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation might be beneficial to warm the lungs, make the water drink fading, balance the fluid distribution, let the qi smooth., which was displayed by the decrease of ICAM-1. So the Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation might reduce the ICAM-1 to inhibit the transformation and adhesion of inflammatory cells, reduce the inflammation in the body, reduce the inflammation and high activity of airway eventually. At the same time, ICAM-1 was considered to be related to the traditional Chinese medicine "drink", which was worth further discussing.4. The regulation of the level of IgG₄ in the tested group before treatment was not significantly different from the conctrol group, so the baseline was equal between two groups. And the difference of the level of IgG₄ in the tested group after treatment was not significantly different from the conctrol group. The Xiaoqinglong Decoction transfermation might relieve the clinic symptoms significantly and improve the the immunity of children with CVA. So the regulation of the level of IgG₄ might be elevated in theory, but it didn’t show any statistically significant results due to the design defects.
