The Design And Development Of A Management System For The Resident Healthcare Card In Daqing

The management of healthcare information has been dramatically improved in China since the reform of the healthcare system. Various information cards have been adopted and enhanced public medical services. The resident healthcare card, a popular example of these information cards, facilitated the reform of the medical industry in China, and provided residents with more convenient access to medical services using information technology.The present dissertation firstly introduced the function and implementation of a management system of resident healthcare cards and SAM cards, followed by the analysis on structure and validation of the management system. Secondly, the system design was elaborated in three aspects: the application design, the function design and the database design. A detailed software program was then designed and developed for the implementation of the resident healthcare card. Finally, the novelties and future work in regards to the resident healthcare card were summarised.The development of the resident healthcare card will greatly improve medical services, and allow its application in multiple medical organisations across the nation to ensure real-time payment transactions for medical services. The cooperation between hospitals and financial institutions will enhance the functionality of financial management. The payment function of the healthcare card allows for a more efficient appointment system in the large scale and could potentially increase the applications of healthcare cards, which will mitigate the difficulties of accessing medical services in China.
