ObjectiveThis study was designed to investigate whether self-blood acupoint injection therapy has more advantages in treatment with acne vulgaris of wind-heat type by comparing the clinical results of combined use of self-blood acupoint injection therapy and external application of adapalene gel with simply external use of adapalene gel.MethodsA total of 56 patients which measure up to all kinds of criteria of acne vulgaris were collected, use completely randomized section method to divide the patients into treatment group(self-blood acupoint injection therapy and external application of adapalene gel) and control group (external application of adapalene gel), the number of patients were 38 and 18,respectively. Both groups adopt adapalene gel for external use. The treatment group was treated with self-blood acupoint injection for 10 times. Observe the results after 5 weeks treatment with wind-heat type acne vulgaris patients, evaluate the clinical curative effect, and establish database, using SPSS17.0 for statistical analysis.ResultsThe age, course of disease, and the integral difference before treatment of two groups, which were processed by statistics showing no significant differences(P>0.05). After one course of treatment, the effective rate of treatment group and control group was 87%and 56%, respectively, which were processed by rank sum test showing there was significant difference in the curative rate between the treatment group and the control group(Z=-2.709, P-0.007<0.05). The results suggest that effects and the overall efficiency of clinical efficacy between treatment group and control group have significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionOn the basis of external use of adapalene gel by two groups, self-blood acupoint injection therapy in treatment of acne vulgaris can more effectively improve the symptoms of inflammation, skin lesions can recover quickly, better than therapeutic efficacy of only external use adapalene gel. And since self-blood acupoint injection therapy can improve the patient’s overall physical fitness, promote the long-term effect, easy operation, small degree of pain, safe, efficient and economical, easily accepted by the majority of patients, it is worth to vigorously promote the clinical use.
