| The Chinese Ministry of Health ranks the hospitals according to Hospital Ranking System, based on the development, medical quality and capability of healthcare service of a hospital. The system is one of the important tasks in health management. The last several years, with the new hospital ranking system and its standards issued and applied, the system has received some positive reactions and benefits. But there are also some negative points in the process: 1It improves nothing on related issues of Grading Treatment Model; Different initiative makes the application of hospital ranking system different; Patients almost take no part in the application of hospital ranking system. Here we took City C as an example, according to public choice theory, institutional change theory and systems theory, for analyzing some problems we met. We also gave our advices in improving hospital ranking system: Making a definite standard for ranking hospitals. Making a definite application of the results. Multi-subject participation makes the process fair.This thesis contains five chapters. The introduction includes the background, the significance, the research status in and out of China, the contents and methods, the innovation and deficiencies of this research. Chapter 1 explained the concept and gives an overview of related theories. Chapter 2 described the development of hospital ranking system in China. We also provided the positive and negative reactions. In Chapter 3, we took a hospital of Rank 3A as a case to analyze the positive effects and the problems to the hospital through the application of the system. Chapter 4 proposed our thoughts and advices to improving hospital ranking system. |
