Comparison Of The Clinical Efficacy Of One Point With Multiple Needles And The General Acupuncture To Treat Sudden Deafness

Purpose and significanceObjectiveComparison of the clinical efficacy of one point with multiple needles and the general acupuncture to treat sudden deafness.SignificanceSudden deafness (Sudden deafness, SD) to reduce the quality of life for patients is one of common emergency.Currently,for our department the combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is applied with SD.Chinese medicine is currently used in the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, the general acupuncture is usually employed.Data shows that the therapy of one point with multiple needles has good curative effect to some diseases(Cotugno’s disease;Bell’s palsy eg.), strengthens the stimulation intensity to main and collateral channels and acupoints, makes sense of the needle and significantly faster,and the needle feeling can keep for a long time.However,reports of the treatment of SD are absence.So, combined with our clinical experience of acupuncture treating SD of predecessor and mentor for many years, we hope to search a more effective treatment of SD after research on patients with long duration to improve the quality of life of patients with SD.MethodsExperimental design with control. Subjects to the University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, hospitalized patients with sudden deafness.According to the actual situation,we will be greater than or equal to 10 days of course of disease in patients with sudden deafness,met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria were enrolled in this study.Chronological order according to treatment with randomized manner 60 patients were divided into experimental group (one point with multiple needles) and control group (the general acupuncture). Three kinds of treatments are used in two groups.Errnen(SJ 21)、Tinggong(SI 19)、Tinghui(GB 2)、Yifeng(SJ 17) in experimental group use the therapy of One Point Multiple Needles.The following three kinds of treatment methods:(1)Shuxueningzhusheye 20ml+ Xuesaitongzhusheye 400mg+Meglumine Adenosine Cyclophosphate Injection 120mg ivgtt qd(2)Decoction of Chinese Medicine(attacked by wind-heat:yinqiao powder;disturbing upward of liver-fire:Longdan Xiegan Decoction;Stagnation of phlegm fire:QingqiHuatan pill;stagnation of qi and blood:xuefu zhuyu decoction;insufficiency of kidney essence:antideaf otic pill or Shenqi Wan;deficiency of the blood and qi:Guipi pills)(3) AcupunctureMain acupoints:Errnen(SJ 21) Tinggong(SI 19) Tinghui(GB 2)Yifeng(SJ 17)Matching acupoint:Fengchi(GB 20) Zhongzhu(SJ 3) Waigu(SJ 5) Hegu(LI 4)The proportion of vertigo:Baihu(DU 20) Shuaiggu(GB 8)The proportion of tinnitus:Taichong(LR 3) Taixi(KI 3)ResultsDuring the treatment of SD, they were compared in gende^ age, the illness duration and the degree of hearing loss(P>0.05). Curative effect and improving of vertigo and tinnitus of patients in experiment group were significantly better than control group from significant statistical difference. Patients who do not suffer from vertigo or tinnitus have better healing effect.Conclusion(1)One point with multiple needles have perfect curative effect in the sudden deafness treatment.(2)The disease course have significance effect on the treatment.(3)In experimental group, patients accompanying vertigo have worse curative effect.(4)Levels of hearing loss affects the treatment.(5)Age was positively correlated with clinical curative effect of hearing loss.(6)In experimental group, patients without Tinnitus have better curative effect.
