Objective To investigate the status of hypertension of prevalence,awareness,treatment and control rates and distribution features of TCM syndrome type,analysis the relationships between Hypertension in aged and TCM syndrome type and study influences of prevalence rate of Hypertension in different areas because of varies of life style,cluster random sampling method was selected to study this project,so as to provide the epidemiological evidence for Hypertension treatment by Traditional Chinese Medicine and pharmacy.Methods subjects aged 60 years and older permanent residents were selected using random sampling method to collect data includes hypertension,hight,weight,waistline,hipline,blood sugar,tongue condition and pulse condition.Subjects were gathered through the ways of physical examination,lectures of prevention and treatment of Hypertension,using the pattern of questionnaire investigation by face to face to collect data.Then finish the form of Hypersion epidemiological investigation.Results ⑴ Epidemiological investigation:The Hypertension prevalence rate of aged patients in Hohhot is 42.00%,the prevalence rate of male patients is 39.02% and that of females is 44.82%,the prevalence rate of female is higher then that of males; the prevalence rate of urban patients is 37.06% and that of rural is 46.79%,the prevalence rate of rural is higher then that of urban.The Hypertension control rate of aged patients in Hohhot is 32.94%,the control rate of urban patients is 36.90% and that of rural is 29.21%,the control rate of urban is higher then that of rural.Factors such as family history of Hypertension,level of education,life style and diet habit are all relate to Hypertension.Besides,can not comply with medicine,take medicine lack of standardization and single type are also included.⑵TCM syndrome type:The data of Hypertension TCM syndrome type of aged patients in Hohhot is as follows:130 patients are regarded as type of Hyperactivity of Yang due to Yin deficiency,110 patients are regarded as type of Deficiency of Qi and blood,76 patients are regarded as type of Phlegmy wet block,62 patients are regarded as type of Yin deficiency of liver and kidney,52 patients are regarded as type of deficience of both Yin and Yang,47 patients are regarded as type of In blood block,39 patients are regarded as type of hyperactivity of liver-YANG,12 patients are regarded as type of hyperactivity of liver fire.And the proportion of above-mentioned TCM syndrome type ranks from high to low is as follows: the proportion of type of Hyperactivity of Yang due to Yin deficiency is 24.62% and higher then type of Deficiency of Qi and blood;the proportion of type of Deficiency of Qi and blood is 20.83% and higher then the proportion of type of Phlegmy wet block;the proportion of type of Phlegmy wet block is 14.39% and higher then the proportion of type of Yin deficiency of liver and kidney;the proportion of type of Yin deficiency of liver and kidney is 11.74% and higher then type of deficience of both Yin and Yang;the proportion of type of deficience of both Yin and Yang is 9.84% and higher then In blood block of 8.90% then hyperactivity of liver-YANG of 7.37% then hyperactivity of liver fire of 2.29%.The ratio of males us females of types of TCM syndrome type includes Hyperactivity of Yang due to Yin deficiency,Deficiency of Qi and blood,eficiency of liver and kidney and hyperactivity of liver fire are all exceed 1:2.Conclusions The Hypertension prevalence rate of aged patients in Hohhot is rising; The rates of Hypertension prevalence,awareness,treatment and control between males and females,urban and rural both have obvious differences;There are more types of deficience clinical.
