The Clinical Therapeutic Effect Of Acupoint Catgut-embedding Therapy In Treating Hyperplasia Of Mammary Glands

Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of acupoint catgut-embedding therapy in treating Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands.Methods: 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria of patients with Hyperplasia of Mammary Gland were randomly divided into acupoint catgut-embedding group(treatment group) 30 cases and acupuncture group(control group) 30 cases. Two groups’ acupoints were consistent, main points: Tanzhong, Rugen, Wuyi, Qimen, Fenglong, dialectical points:Liver qi stagnation with Taichong; Phlegm and blood stasis with Neiguan, Zhongwan,Zusanli; Chong and Ren disorders with Guanyuan, Sanyinjiao, Ganshu, Shenshu. Acupoint catgut-embedding of 1 times a week, the menstrual period stopped treatment, 1 months for a course of treatment, continuous treatment of 2 courses; Acupuncture group of 3 times a week, the menstrual period stopped treatment, 1 months for a course of treatment,continuous treatment of 2 courses. To observed and compared the total effect and the symptoms-score(integral efficiency, degree of pain, breast lumps, mood changes,abnormal menstruation, two threatened fullness)between two groups before and after treatment, using SPSS17.0 for statistical analysis.Results:There were no significant difference between the acupoint catgutembedding therapy group and acupuncture group in each age, course of disease, all clinical symptoms(P>0.05), showed that two groups were comparable; After the treatment,acupoint catgut-embedding therapy group and acupuncture group total effectiveness respectively was 93.3%, 83.3%, with the rank sum test, the total efficiency of two groups had no statistical difference(P>0.05), showed that both the two groups wereeffective to treat Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands; In the total score of symptoms,breast pain, abnormal menstruation, emotional aspects, both the symptom-score comparison before and after the treatment in each group and the comparison between the two groups after the treatment had a greatly significant difference(P<0.05), indicated that the efficacy of two groups was effective, and acupoint catgut-embedding group is better than the acupuncture group; In the breast lumps, two flank pain, Yaoxisuanruan, blood stasis aspects, both the two groups were effective(P<0.05), but the effect is equivalent(P>0.05).Conclusion: Two kinds of treatment methods are effective methods in the treatment of Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands. Acupoint catgut-embedding therapy was effective in the treatment of patients symptoms, could improve the patients’ quality of life;Acupoint catgut-embedding therapy is worthy of clinical promotion because it has easier operation,lower cost, better patient compliance, and is more suitable for the modern society’s fast pace of life.
