Objective:To investigate the clinical observation of acupoint catgut-embedding therapy of patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands and liver Qi stagnation. Methods:According to theadmission order,60patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided intothe treatment group (the catgut-embedding with drug group) and (the control group) thesimple drug group, n=30. The control group was given catgut-embedding therapy combined with oral administration of Xiaorusanjie capsules; the catgut-embedding therapy was carried out once a week, with four weeks as a course. Thecontrol group was given oral administration of Xiaorusanjie capsules, three capsules each time, three times per day. Eight weeks later, the therapeutic effects (on the Integration pain degree of tumor status, emotional change, menstrual disorder andtwo threatened fullness, effective rate) were observed and analyzed between two groups. Results:After treatment for four weeks, the overall effective rate of patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands was93.33%in the catgut-embedding with drug group and83.33%in thesimple drug group.Various indexes (On the Integration pain degree of tumor status, emotional change, menstrual disorder and two threatened fullness, effective rate) in two groups before treatment were significantly decreasedcompared with those after treatment (P<0.05).The improvement of pain degree and menstrualregulation after treatmentwere significantly different between two groups (P<0.05);but other indexes were not significantlydifferent. Conclusion:The catgut-embedding therapy is an effective method for treatment of patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands, and its mechanism may be controlling the breast hyperplasia of mammary glandsby regulating the endocrine levels. Comparedwith the simple drug group, catgut-embedding therapy has advantages in improving the pain degree and regulating the menstruation. In addition, thecatgut-embedding therapy has a shorter singletreatment time, longer duration of course and fewer side effects, thus more suitable for the needs of modern life.
