The Acient Literature Study About Lingtai Acupoint (GV10), Shendao Acupoint (GV11)

Objective:This study aims via summarizing and analyzing the descrip tions of ancient medical literatures, providing a supporting basis for theoretical and clinical applications of Lingtai acupoint(GV10) and Shendao acupoint(GV11).Methods:Select 124 sets of books which are existing as our study original version. Manual searching and machine retrieval were applied to these books to get 143 descriptions of Lingtai acupoint(GV10)and 230 descriptions of Shendao acupoint(GV11), then made them into 5 parts, including the name, location, channel tropism, indication and method of acupuncture and moxibustion. Then sorted the indications into two categories, the diseases that suitable for the applying of Lingtai acupoint(GV10) and Shendao acupoint(GV11) only and the diseases that suitable for the applying of Lingtai acupoint(GV10) and Shendao acupoint(GV11) with other acupoints. Then analyze the data again and sort them into 8 families such as Internal diseases of TCM, Chirurgery diseases of TCM, Gynecology diseases of TCM, Pediatrics diseases of TCM, Orthopedics and Traumatology diseases of TCM,Ophthalmology diseases of TCM, Otorhinolaryngology diseases of TCM and so on.Conclusion:Lingtai acupoint(GV10) totally has two names, including Lingtai and Feidi. The location mode of Lingtai acupoint(GV10) is surface landmark,it belongs to Du Meridian. Lingtai acupoint(GV10) can cure four kinds of illness, both belonging to Internal diseases of TCM. There are diputes about the feasibility of pinpricking in ancient literatures. At the end, the author analyzes the method of acupuncture and moxibustion from the aspects of acupuncture deepness and the account of moxa cone used in the treatment. Shendao acupoint(GV11) totally has four names,including Shendao, Chongdao, Zangshu, Zhuangshu. The location mode and belonging is same to Lingtai acupoint(GV10).The diseases Shendao acupoint(GV11) can cure are 17 kinds which including 8 kinds suitable for it only and 14 kinds suitble for it with other acupionts. Besides,the author summarizes the applications in the ancient literatures with other acupionts belonging to the fourteen serious meridian. Shendao acupoint(GV11) is used to do moxibustion, while pinpricking or not is diputed in anciet literatures. At the end, the author analyzes the method of acupuncture and moxibustion from the aspects of acupuncture deepness, acupuncture time remaining, and the account of moxa cone used in the treatment.
