Acupuncture And Acupoint Shendao Ginger-partitioned Moxibustion Treatment Of Aphasia After Apoplexy Clinical Observation

Objective:Aphasia is a acquired linguistic dysfunction caused by damage to the Brain. Its symptoms include the impairment or loss of the capability of language output,.language comprehension, reading, writing, language composition and so forth. Apoplexy is one of the major causes of aphasia. About 1/3 of the paralytics suffered from different levels of language impairment. Chinese medicine considers that aphasia after apoplexy is vest in the category of 'yin fei','feng yin','feng yi'and so forth. It is thought that the etiology and pathogens of the illness is the weakness of formerly kidney, liver and spleen, infringement upon mentality and Brain Chiao by wind, fire, phlegm, stasis, and thereby qi activity is impeded, the mentality and aperture are concealed. Aphasia after apoplexy's rehabilitation is a popular but difficult project among the medical researchers both at home and abroad. Aphasia can not be cured satisfactorily by all kinds of modern therapeutic methods. This project would use BDAE to assess patient's language function and compare the clinical effects between acupuncture and acupoint shendao Ginger-partitioned Moxibustion treatment of Poststroke aphasia and simple acupuncture treatment of Poststroke aphasia.Methods:60 aphasiac after apoplexy was collected, randomly divided into observation group(30) and control group(30). Observation group chose 'lianquan','jin jin','yu ye','he gu', 'tai chong','bai hui','zu san li', after routine disinfection, pricking'jin jin','yu ye',other acupoints simple acupuncture, after acuesthesia, then do swirling and rotating, every 10 minutes row needle once, needle retention for 30 minutes once a day. After the acupuncture, shen dao xue was chosen on the qovernor meridian,take a 3mm-thick ginger, stabbed several empties, put a moxa cone on it and put it on the acupoint, lit the moxa cone. When patients felt hurt, lift the ginger slightly for a moment, till the local skin flushing and moist, moxibustion once a day,6days for one course of treatment,and continue for 5 courses of treatment. Control group's acupuncture acupoint, acupuncture method, course of treatment are the same as Observation group. The BDAE was used as the curative effect criteria, and the CDFI was used to observe patient's velocities of blood flow of ICA,VA,BA before and after the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of Acupuncture and acupoint shendao Ginger-partitioned Moxibustion treatment of Poststroke aphasia was 83.33%, significantly higher than thecontrol group of 76.67%(P<0.05),with significant difference. The cure rate is 16.67%,10% higher than control group (P<0.05), with significant differences. Acupuncture and acupoint shendao Ginger-partitioned Moxibustion treatment can improve velocities of blood flow of intracranial arteries:ICA. VA,BA, compare with control group(P<0.05),with significant differences. Conclusion:Acupuncture and acupoint shendao Ginger-partitioned Moxibustion group treat aphasia after apoplexy is clinically much more effective than the normal acupuncture, with a very significant result.
