The Acient Literature Study About Zhiyang Acupoint (GV9)

Objective:This study was designed to summarise the applying characteristics and rules of Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9),to provide a historical basis for the clinical application,via researching the ancient literature of Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9).Methods:Selected 63 sets of Chinese ancient medical books. Through artificial searching and computer retrieval,total collected 176 ancient medicine sentences related to Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9).Then made them into 6 parts,including the acupoint name,location,owership of the meridians,indications,methods of acupuncture and moxibustion and yeas.Result:Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9) has totally two acupoint names,including Zhiyang and Feidi.The point belongs to Du Meridian.The fixed positioning mark of Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9) is the seventh vertebra.Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9),a single acupoint,can treat21 kinds of diseases,involving TCM internal medicine and TCM otolaryngology.Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9) with other acupoints can cure 4 kinds diseases,totally belonging to TCM internal medicine.The study summarized the meridians and classification with the use of other points.Besides,the author explored and analyzed the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion and finishing years.Conclusion: A large age gap and lang time span are the features of the finishing years.The views about the acupoint name,location,and owership of the meridians of Zhiyang Acupoint(GV9) are identical.The methods of acupuncture and moxibustion are available.
