A Investigation On The Nurses Hospital Violence Present Situation And The Cognition In One Hospital Of Dalian

Objective:We aim to learn about the situation and cause of violent accident happened in hospital through questionnaire perform in nurses and leaders of somewhat hospital to find out the ways to avoid violent accidents in hospital and some useful advice.Method:We perform questionnaires on nurses of somewhat hospital, content of the questionnaire:basic information of nurses, situation of violent accidents happened in hospital (kind, how to dissolve and result of violent accident), master of management system of the hospital, useful precautionary measures. We conducted the analysis of materials using SPSS20.0. We aim to learn about the situation and cause of violent accident happened in hospital through questionnaire perform in nurses and leaders of somewhat hospital to find out the ways to avoid violent accidents in hospital and some useful advice.Result:Effective questionnaire is 975 pieces, effective rate is 97.5%,779 of all conducted nurses had experienced violent accident happened in hospital, And 344 nurses had suffered hospital violence. Rats of speech violence is 97.4%, Rats of speech threats is 91.3%, no body damage of body violence occupied 32.3%, mild suffering occupied 23.5%, obvious suffering occupied 10.2%, severe suffering occupied 5.2%.18.6% of nurses had experienced or suffered sexual violence. Rats of violence happened between different administrative offices, ages and time of work had statistical variance (p<0.0001); The persons performing violence is mainly family members of patients (82.9%), persons using lethal weapon occupied 6.5%; Half of them have led to psychological or bodies injury; 49.4% f violence was explored the reason in aspect of administrative office, only a minority of sever violence was investigated in medical department, main area of violence was pediatrics, secondarily comes surgical ward, then outpatient service. Facing violence, what’s nurses do? 1. most chose to protect themselves; 2. communicate to their boss; 3. do nothing; 4. report to their leaders; 5. try to stop violence.57.8% of the nurse had suffered violence know little about the detail procedure of dealing with violence.55.1% of all don’t chose to report to their bosses when violence happened, as to the knowledge of construction of management system to prevent violence, persons who agree with constructing employment security education occupied 63.4%, security management system occupied 45.3%, speech violence preventing management occupied 27.8%, occupational body preventing management system occupied 25.8%.Conclusion:Occurrence rate of violence in hospital is very high. Hospital has made a series of regulatory framework. However, people know little about the preventing methods of violence happened in hospital, resulting in physical and psychological health problem of staffs working in hospital. Thus we should take effective measures to prevent violence happening in hospital and ensure safety of doctors. So hospital should strength staffs knowledge of the management of violence, learn how to distinguish foreboding of violence, and make some effective solutions to prevent violence accidents and leaders also should take an active part in violence management and intervene, and set up a effective violence manage strategy.
