Research backgroundIn recent years, the quality of nursing services continues to develop, and the nursing team has various problems such as getting younger in average, lacking clinical experience, lacking human resources and so on.A number of studies on the professional identity of nurses in China by domestic scholars show that they are at a moderate or low level. The increasing pressure of nursing staff and the frequent job burnout lead to the increase of nursing staff turnover rate, the unstable nursing team, and the impact of nursing quality. In order to stabilize the staff of nurses and improve the enthusiasm of nurses, many scholars have carried out related research from the perspective of positive psychology, and the sense of professional benefit of nurses has also started to develop based on this theory.Positive emotional experience is a kind of happy, contented and gratifying perceptual experience when nurses feel that their work brings material benefits and psychological satisfaction from the nursing profession. This invisible incentive factor can promote the professional development of nurses, help to improve the professional identity of nurses, promote positive professional feelings of nurses, relieve the pressure brought by work, reduce job bumout, and improve the quality of nursing care.Research purposeUnderstand the present situation of nurses'sense of occupational gain in a tertiary general hospital in Taian City.Analyze the level of nurses'sense of occupational gain and related factors.Offer a proposal to increase the positive professional feelings of nurses, alleviate negative emotions, improve their enthusiasm and initiative for work.Research methodThe sample was selected by a convenient sampling method.A questionnaire survey was conducted among nurses in a tertiary general hospital in Tai'an.A total of 780 questionnaires were sent out,and 761 valid questionnaires were collected, with a recovery rate of 97%.The research tools include the general situation questionnaire and the nurses'sense of occupational gain questionnaire. All the questionnaire data were established by EXCEL table, the data were processed by SPSS 22.0,and the related statistical analysis was carried out.ResultThe proportion of women in the survey was 94.6%;the 26-35 year old nursing staff accounted for 58.9%,of which 66.5%married;71.1%of nurses are from rural areas;78.2%of nurses are non-only children;nurses with 1-5 years working experience accounted for 41.3%;night nurses accounted for 74.1%;contract nurses accounted for 54.8%;50.3%of nurses have titles of nurse practitioner;nurses with title of senior professional nurse accounted for only 3.2%;nurses with bachelor degree accounted for 87%;Over the past year,79.1%of nurses felt the workload increased,73.3%of nurses felt the pressure of work increased, and the nurses who wanted to improve their personal income accounted for 60.1%.The total score of professional gain sense of nurses in a certain tertiary level general hospital in Tai'an was 131.31± 18.82.The score of good nurse-patient relationship was the highest;the score of positive professional sense is the lowest;the score of three dimensions of family and friend identification, team belonging, and own growth is the middle.By one-way analysis of variance, there were statistically significant factors associated with nurses' sense of professional gain:gender, marital status, family type, family ranking, urban and rural ownership, department ownership, highest educational background, personnel relationship, technical title, post, and monthly income.Univariate analysis of variance showed that there were significant factors affecting the nurse's sense of vocational gain, such as,child status, nursing age, initial education, night shift, workload change and job stress.By multiple linear regression analysis, the factors influencing the total score of nurses' sense of professional gain were the status of their children.the initial education, the technical title and the change of job pressure. The factors affecting the positive sense of occupation were the status of children, the sources of urban and rural areas, and the technical titles. The factors that influence good nurse-patient relationship are child status, initial education. The factors that affect the dimension of relatives and friends' identification are the status of children, the initial education, the technical title. The factors that affect the sense of belonging of the team are the situation of children, personnel relationship and technical title. And the factor that have influence on the dimension of their own growth is the initial education level. Conclusions and recommendationsThe sense of occupational gain of nurses in one of the tertiary general hospitals of Tai'an is in the middle level. The sources of the sense of occupational gain arranged from high to low are good nurse-patient relationship,self-growth,team belonging, relatives and friend identity, positive professional sense.Nurses who is Aged 45 or above, married, with children who have attended university or work, having a nursing age of more than 20 years, having an initial education in a technical secondary school, not working night shifts had higher occupational gain levels than other types of nurses over the past year with little change in perceived workload and job stress. In order to promote the sense of professional gain of nurses, some measures have to take, such as reducing job burnout, improving professional identity.Nursing staff should strengthen self-education,playing the role of nurses themselves.Hospital managers should strengthen scientific management, improve the performance management system of nurses, and improve the income of nurses.According to the nurses' different ages, different stages of career, hospital managers should carry out hierarchical, phased personalized intervention, focus on key people to carry out stratified guidance, stimulate the intrinsic enthusiasm of nursing staff. In order to improve nurses'sense of professional benefitit is not only necessary for nurses to improve their own quality and scientific management in hospital, but also to strengthen social support, set up correct publicopinion guidance, and improve nurses'social status.
