| Objective:This study aims to observe impact of Shenqiyizhu Decoction on survival quality of postoperative chemotherapy patients with colorectal cancer.Methods:According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, a total of 60 patients with colorectal cancer surgery derived from recorded inpatient and outpatient of Jiangsu Province Chinese medicine hospital from 2013 to 2014,which were randomly divided into treatment group (traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)+chemotherapy group) and control group (simple chemotherapy group). The two groups were FOLFOX6 (fluorouracil+oxaliplatin+calcium folinate) chemotherapy regimen which have been improved for 6 cycles continuously (taking 14 days as one cycle). The treatment group was accepted chemotherapy and Shenqiyizhu Decoction simultaneously, varying the composition with syndrome. Traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and survival quality in both the treatment group and control group were detected before and after treatment, after accomplishing which database was built for relevant statistical analysis.Results:The survival quality were all improved in the treatment group and control group, and damages to liver and kidney function was not obvious in both groups. But by contrast analysis, it can be found that KS scores, survival quality and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine, such as abdominal distention, diarrhea and fatigue were improved obviously in the treatment group. What is more, there was a significant difference of reducing toxic side effects of digestive system between the treatment group and control group (P< 0.05).Conclusions:Shenqiyizhu Decoction can significantly improve survival quality of patients with colorectal cancer after chemotherapy and improve patients’TCM syndromes. The main mechanism of treatment is probably to kill tumor cells, improve survival quality and delay recurrence and metastases time of cancer. |
