Purpose:1.Literatures of resent 30 years on treatment of pain syndrome by Jiaji points were collected, to analyze and summarize the common pain diseases treated by Jiaji points, clinical specific operation methods, acupoints selection and use of electroacupuncture, so as to summarize the clinical application of the treatment of pain syndrome with acupuncture.2.At the same time, by animal experiments, study the effect of Jiaji (L3,L5) on pain threshold of chronic inflammatory pain rats and the content of 5-HT in the central nervous structure.Methods:The subject have the modern literature research and modern experimental research.The modern literature research:Computer retrieval was used in the study. This study searched the CNKI, WF and VIP for documents from January 1,1984 to December 31, 2014 by keywords and themes "Jiaji" and "pain" and then screened the retrieved documents and dovetailed the eligible documents and did analyzing.In the modern experiment research, classical adjuvant arthritis (AA) rat models were established, and treated by electroacupuncture at waist clip ridge point (L3, L5), then pain threshold, changes in volume and toe swelling rate were observed, at the same time, changes of 5-HT in the central structure were tested.Results:1. Literature 291 literatures were included. In accordance with the parts of the pain, they were divided into 283 body pain literatures, and 8 visceral pain literatures; in accordance with the classification of modern western medicine standard, system movement literatures were up to 154, accounting for 52.9%. For the specific clinical application of Jiaji points, literatures which used Jiaji alone accounted for 42 while Jiaji points as a documentation of the other main points or acupoints accounted for 249; 189 papers were related to the needle retaining time, and puncturing angles included vertical puncture and oblique puncture, accounting for 122 papers; 94 articles were about needling depth, and only 69 papers mentioned reinforcing and reducing manipulation. After acupuncture,116 papers used electroacupuncture to strengthen stimulation, accounting for 39.9% of total literature. Consolidation found that the combination methods were usually two or three ways, and two methods’combination was the most commonly used, the literature related was 127 pieces, with discussed 49 methods, and three methods’combination included 77 articles, and the combination ways were 42 kinds.2. Modern experimental research:(1)The pain threshold comparison:EA+model group,drug+model group and model group comparison threshold significantly reduced (P <0.05), indicating that electro acupuncture waist clip ridge cave and steroid injection can reduce the pain threshold in rats with chronic inflammatory pain.(2)Comparison of paw volume and swelling rate:EA+model group and drug+model group rats paw volume and swelling rate, compared with the model group, the difference has a very significant difference (P<0.01).(3)The 5-HT content of the model group was significantly higher than the normal group, and there were significant differences between the model group and the normal group. The 5-HT content of EA+model group was decreased, and there was no significant difference between the model group and the normal group.Conclusion:1. The modern literature research:in the treatment of pain syndrome Jiaji acupoints are more effective in somatic pain, mainly in the sports system of modern western medicine, three of the most common diseases respectively are:herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia, lumbar disc herniation, cervical spondylosis, and effect is significant. From the characteristics of clinical application of Jiaji points, the main clinical operation is puncturing and angle of acupuncture mainly include perpendicular and oblique, perpendicular puncturing is used more often; needle retaining time is usually 30 min generally not by means of reinforcing and reducing manipulation. The electroacupuncture is often used, most commonly with density wave and continuous wave, many documents did not mention the current.2. Modern experimental studies:acupuncture at Jiaji points and hormone drugs can both reduce the pain threshold of rats with inflammatory pain, increase the content of serotonin in the brain and spinal cord, and take part in the analgesic mechanism, and play a role in the anti-inflammatory and immunity effects on swelling pain in rats.
