Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Post Herpes Zoster Neuralgia In Trunk Cadres With The Combination Of Banded Acupuncture And Jiaji Point Electric-acupuncture

Objective : Through observing the clinical curative effect of post herpetic neuralgia treated by banded acupuncture combined with Jiaji point electric-acupuncture,this study is to seek more accurate and more optimized acupuncture treatments and ideas for this disease.Method:From the random number table generated by computer,60 post herpetic neuralgia patients who met the criteria and voluntarily participated in the trial were taken as research objects.The subjects were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group(n = 30)and control group(n = 30).The treatment group had been treated with banded acupuncture at the affected area in combination with Jiaji point electric-acupuncture warming moxibustion.And the control group used surrounding needling at the affected area in combination with Jiaji point electric-acupuncture warming moxibustion.Both groups had received 20 treatments,once a day,5treatments for 1 course and 4 courses in total.We made pain assessment with pain Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Simplified Mc Gill Score(SF-MPQ Score),and evaluated the clinical efficacy of patients' anxiety and sleep with Hamilton Anxiety Measuring Assessment(HAMA)and Sleep Quality Score(QS).Patients who completed the treatment were followed up at one month after the treatment to observe the pain recurrence.Scientifically and objectively evaluating the clinical curative effect and recurrence of post herpetic neuralgia treated by “banded acupuncture combined with jiaji point electric-acupuncture warming moxibustion“would provide a safe,effective,simple and accurate treatment program for clinical promotion.Result:1.There was no shedding among 60 subjects.Actually 60 cases were completed with30 cases in each group;2.There were significant clinical effects on treating postherpetic neuralgia in both groups,and no statistical difference in total effective rate(P>0.05);3.After the treatment,the pain scores of the two groups were apparently reduced.The analgesic effect of the treatment group was faster and the days of analgesia were shorter.The degree of pain improvement after the first phase of treatment was much better than that of the control group(P<0.05);4.On the required days of the pain relieved by 20%,30% and 40%,the treatment group was shorter than the control group with statistical difference(P<0.05);5.After the treatment,the quality of sleep(QS)and Hamilton Anxiety Measuring Assessment(HAMA)of both groups were obviously decreased.On the improvement of sleep and anxiety in the first and second phases,the pain treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05);6.No recurrences were found in two groups when following up patients at one month after the treatment.Conclusion:1.Banded acupuncture at the affected area in combination with Jiaji point electric-acupuncture warming moxibustion is an effective method for treating PHN.It relieves the pain faster and has a rapid improvement effect on the patient's sleep and anxiety state;2.The therapy is safe and has no side effects,fast in pain relief and stable in curative effect.So it is suitable for promotion.
