Objective: To damage or block the pain never conduction, so as to relieve paincaused by lumbar disc lesions by needling the RF torcar into the pathological intervertebraldisc through jiaji acupoint on the low waist using traditional acupuncture technique and bymonitoring the temperature of RF trocar through radio frequency control warm condenser.Observe the clinical curative effect of radio frequency acupuncture to cure the discogeniclow back pain comparing with the simple acupuncture group, verify the superiority of thescheme, and establish a new therapeutic schedule which is operation normative, clinicaleffective, can be operated repeatedly, and promoted in clinical.Methods:60patients who conformed to the inclusion criteria were divided into twogroups, RF acupuncture Jiaji points group of30cases, and Jiaji acupuncture group of30cases. Observe the difference in the VAS score, JOA score, lumbar function score of thetwo groups before and after treatment. And the data were statistically analyzed to evaluatethe clinical effect of the treatment group scientifically.Results:60patients with discogenic low back pain caused by intervertebral disc wereincluded. The data Analyses are as follows:①Comparison of the VAS scores before andafter treatment shows that scores were lower in both groups. After the treatment, comparison shows that the difference between the two groups was significant(p<0.05)which means that the treatment group can effectively relieve the pain.②About the JOAscore of lumbar function and the improvement rate, the comparison between two groupsafter treatment shows that the difference was significant(p<0.05)which means that thetreatment group can effectively relieve symptoms, and the clinical curative effect is more obvious.③After the end of treatment, in the treatment group13cases were cured,8caseswere markedly effective,7cases were improved and2cases were ineffective. The totaleffective rate reached93.3%and the cure rate was43.3%. In the control group5caseswere cured,10cases were effective,11cases were improved,4cases were ineffective. The total efficiency was86.7%and the cure rate was16.7%. The comparison of the twogroups by Ridit test showed that the total effective rate had no significant difference(P>0.05); and the cure rate difference was significant (P<0.05); That means the treatmentgroup had better curative rate than the control group. Conclusions: The RF acupuncture treatment using Hua Tuo Jiaji acupoints to curediscogenic low back pain, is better on the improvement of the clinical curative effect andthe function of lumbar vertebrae than the control group. The study was guided bytraditional Chinese medicine theory of main and collateral channels. Needle the RF torcarinto the pathological intervertebral disc through jiaji acupoint on the low waist. On oneside, the acupuncture can help dredge main and collateral channels, regulate qi and blood, and play a role in the treatment of so-called "general does not hurt". On the other hand, theneedling of RF trocar into the intervertebral disc, can reduce the pressure and denervation, improve the intradiscal inflammatory environment and relieve the symptoms. This methodis effective, safe and reliable, and is worthy of clinical application.
